Dialogue with Customs Administration
On 18th June 2020, online Dialogue with the Customs Administration was successfully held within the joint initiative of French-Serbian, German-Serbian and Italian-Serbian chamber of commerce and Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia.
Dialogue with the Customs Administration is the first of four planned events with Serbian institutions, in charge of areas important for businessmen, and all with a goal of establishing a platform for continuous dialogue between the business representatives and official institutions.
At the very beginning, the participants were greeted by the representatives of the four bilateral business associations, Ms. Sanja Ivanic, director of French-Serbian chamber of commerce, Ms. Doris Danilovic, deputy director of German-Serbian chamber of commerce, Ms. Danijela Cabarkapa, director of Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia and Ms. Mirjana Kojic, director of Italian-Serbian chamber of commerce, who also moderated the event. Gathered companies’ representatives had an opportunity to find out more about the latest activities and novelties within the work of the Customs through the presentation of Mrs. Natasa Mirkovic, head of the customs procedures department, as well as to receive concrete answers to their questions.
A wide range of topics discussed during the dialogue included customs regulations, system of customs decisions, AEO customs simplifications, digitization process – AIE and AES, change of customs regulations in transit procedure, simplifications related to placing goods in customs procedure when it comes to importing activities and many others.
On behalf of the Customs Administration, the answers were directly and concisely provided by Mrs. Natasa Mirkovic, head of the customs procedures department, Mrs. Jasminka Gajic, head of the TARIC department, Mr. Predrag Arsic from the information and communication technologies sector, Mrs. Aleksandra Ilic, head of AEO and simplified customs procedures sector, Mrs. Tanja Sentic, Mr. Vladimir Filipovic and Zeljko Popovic from the sector for tariff affairs and Mrs. Marija Ercegovac from the sector for financial, investment and legal affairs.
Being aware of the importance of this kind of initiatives for both sides, we will continue providing further support to even more successful doing business of the local and international companies in Serbia, though setting the platform for concrete and constructive dialogue between businessmen and official institutions.
