2nd KAIZEN TM congress Serbia
On 24th/25th September 2018, 2nd KAIZENTM congress Serbia, co-organized by Kaizen Institute Serbia and Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia (JBAS), took place.
On the first day of the congress, the participants had a chance to learn more about the Japanese business society in Serbia, to get more information about the digitalization process and changes it brings to the organization of business activities and labor market, about kaizen implementation and experiences related to its implementation, as well as to find out more about the challenges that the Serbian labor market is facing. On the second day of the congress two gemba walks were organized – visits to the Henkel and Tarkett factories.
JBAS had the representatives at three out of five panels on the first day of congress.
The first panel, dedicated to the Japanese investments in Serbia, with participation of Mr. Goran Pekez, JTI (President of JBAS), Mr. Dirk Bantel, Panasonic (Member of JBAS Board of Directors), Mr. Naoki Tsukada, Mitsubishi Corporation (Member of JBAS Board of Directors), Mr. Shigeo Hashimoto, Itochu Corporation, Mr. Rados Gazdic, Development Agency of Serbia and Ms. Danijela Cabarkapa, JBAS, has brought the information about the activities of Japanese business society in Serbia closer to the participants, but also answered the questions related to the potentials of Japanese business community contribution to the further improvement of business environment in Serbia and what can be done in order to support further advancement of Japanese business presence in Serbia.
At the panel Industry 4.0 Mrs. Suzana Radovic, Fujitsu (President of JBAS Hitech group), Mrs. Ljubica Hadzistevic, NES COMMUNICATIONS, Mr. Bojan Mrazovac, NTT DATA, Mr. Zeljko Vulovic, Soft Road Apps, Mr. Goran Veljovic, E-SMART SYSTEMS and Mr. Aleksandar Petrovic, DIVISION VISUAL SOLUTIONS – DVS have presented the solutions of their companies which can increase efficiency and security of the business activities in alignment with the trends of accelerated digitalization of businesses.
Mr. Bozidar Batancev, JTI, has also shared the experiences of the JTI factory in Senta related to the kaizen implementation and benefits it brought to the factory in terms of efficiency and productivity increase.
This year’s congress has made Japan closer, again confirmed the benefits that the dedication to the kaizen implementation can bring to an organization, and has raised the question on how the current trends will further change the labor market and the reaction to the changes, which is to be answered at the next congress.
